SECOND TRIP WEST
We started this trip in November after celebrating our Thanksgiving Holiday on November 8th with Susan, Kyle, Richard, Caryn and Eddie. Our plan was to slowly head to Kansas for repairs before continuing west to the coast.
Heading slowly southwest before heading north would allow us to arrive at the New Horizon factory after the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend and it would hopefully keep us in relatively warm places as we traveled. We could have made the appointment at the factory for before Thanksgiving but were afraid they may not finish the work and we would be stuck hanging around Junction City for 4 extra days in the cold..In case you didn't know Kansas can get bitterly cold and windy at that time of year.
After the repairs were completed we headed south and then west eventually reaching the California Coast or what was left of it after the rains. At this time the web log is only completed through Dallas.
