The next day after briefing we drove to Mac Mac falls where we walked to the falls before returning to our rigs and continuing our trip.
We stopped at the High-veld Mall for lunch and INTERNET at the Mug & Brew a chain with nice salads, good coffee and Internet, one hour free. Both Debby and I were able to get on both the computer and Ipad for email and facebook. After our meal we continued on to the Kaia Manzi RV Park which was located in a residential community. The campground was fairly empty and we had our choice of spots overlooking a lake. After setting up which constitutes filling the water tank and hooking up the electricity we vegged out and socialized with our trip mates.
We left Kaia Manzi Resort and drove 52.6 Kilometers to Cullinan and the Cullinan Diamond Mine where we had a 2 hour tour of the mine.
While waiting for the tour to start we sat in a cafeteria called The Lemon Tree
e
had a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and perused the collection of signs on the wall.
While walking to the mine we passed some local art
The tour consisted of
Dressed for the tour I took a Selfie
Neither the mine nor the tour were very photogenic but I did manage a picture of the Big Hole made when the dirt was scooped up and fed through the sifting machine
Obviously we were provided with an opportunity to purchase diamonds but nobody did. In the store there was a big picture of Elizabeth Taylor because this is where Richard Burton had bought the diamond he gave her. Ironically and unfortunately while in the store we were told that Liz had died that day.
From the mine we walked into town to the Sir Thomas restaurant and had a very pleasant lunch. After lunch we returned to our rigs and drove the remaining 174.2 Kilometers to the Manyane Resort Caravan Camp in Pilanesberg National Park.
